BioMMED is hosting a seminar to present information on what Millipore can offer for the Luminex (BioPlex) platform. BioMMED currently operates and maintains a Bio-Rad BioPlex unit in one of our laboratories for researcher use in analyzing cytokines and/or chemokines. Analyzing these “regulators” plays a significant role in understanding such states as allergic reactions, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndromes, sepsis and cancer, to name a few. The seminar will be held in Room 1212C of the School of Veterinary Medicine at 10am on October 21. Millipore acquired Upstate and Linco about 2 years ago and now has the largest offering of multiplexing panels for the Luminex. This seminar is open to new BioPlex users, researchers currently using the unit, and anyone curious about the technology. Please contact Thaya (578-9708) if you have any questions.
