BioMMED Service

All BioMMED service functions are provided to LSU-based investigators on a charge back basis. Typically, LSU researchers are charged only the costs of supplies, while most of the personnel costs are provided via support of participating LSU units.

Amaxa Inc. representatives will be here on March 15 to provide assistance for existing projects and insights on new technology.

The Amaxa Nucleofection System (non-viral transfection system for difficult cell lines and primary cells)is being used by several researchers at LSU. In an effort to fine tune some existing protocols, Amaxa representatives will present information on their system and hold a question and answer session. This presentation and Q&A session will be held March 15th from 9am until approximately 11am in Room 1212C of the School of Veterinary Medicine. They will also introduce their new 96-well High Throughput system (great for siRNA screening).
